Getting started - Sharing

1. The easiest way is to share the URL. Your cowriters won't have to sign up in order to comment or edit.
2. You have sensitive data? You can protect your discussion with a password. This way the discussion is also SSL-secured.
3. If you want to work with others who already have a doingText account, you can add them to your discussion. They get notified by email or through their News Feed.

You might also write a direct message to another user you're working with. To do so, go on their profile page and follow the "Send Message"-link.

Now imagine some of your cowriters have commented or edited in the discussion. Or you have been invited to some other discussion.

1. On the right hand side you see those little balloons with numbers in it. They are colored green or orange. It's green for those lines you most recently commented/edited and it's orange when someone else did.
2. To see the comments or what has been changed in detail, click on the line and a side bar rolls out. Comments and changes are sorted chronologically. This way you always know which text version a comment refers to.
3. The balloon which appears when you mouse over the lines also provides a version switcher. Browse through the versions (they will show up within the line) and if you wish to return to an earlier version, do so by clicking the link "revert to version x".
